This personal data may be data that is necessary for you to be able to use our website, data that is necessary to take into account your settings - such as your preferred language - or information that you provide to us yourself via the contact options offered on our website.
We use your personal data to answer your inquiries, process your order or provide you with access to special information or offers. Of course, we will respect your wishes if you do not wish to provide us with your personal data.

What are "cookies"?
Cookies are files that are placed on your computer by a website when you visit the site. These files store information that makes your use of the site more efficient.
What do we use cookies for?
Our content management system works partly with cookies so that it can provide you with all the information relevant to you without errors. We use cookies if you send us a message via one of the forms. The "Captcha" function, which asks you to enter numbers from a graphic to protect communication from spam, uses cookies. Otherwise, cookies are only stored if you register on our system, i.e. log in, which requires you to apply for access authorization from garmo AG. The cookies then used by our content management system store the user name and the websites you have visited. This information is not evaluated by us at any time or for any purpose and is only used to optimize the system. Cookies allow us, for example, to customize a website to your interests. If you do not want us to recognize your computer, please set your Internet browser so that it deletes cookies from your computer hard drive or warns you before a cookie is stored.
Newsletter
You have the option of subscribing to the garmo AG newsletter via our website. We need your surname, first name and e-mail address to send you the newsletter. You will only receive our newsletter once you have successfully completed a double opt-in procedure. You can view your declaration of consent or unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Corresponding links are implemented in every e-mail accompanying our newsletter. If you unsubscribe, we will immediately delete your contact details from our newsletter recipient list. The legislator places certain requirements on the effectiveness of electronic consent such as that used for subscribing to the newsletter. This also includes the logging of your declaration of consent. We therefore log the date and time of consent, the text of the declaration of consent, whether the checkbox was selected, your e-mail address, your surname and first name. We also log the date and time of the click on the confirmation link and the link in the confirmation email. We collect and store this information exclusively in order to comply with the legal requirements for electronic consent (Section 28 (3a) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG)).
How is personal information protected?
We protect your data through regular internal checks. Even when we work with contractors to process orders and queries, we ensure the same high level of data protection through agreements and checks as we do ourselves.
What should I bear in mind when linking to other websites?
We may provide links to other sites outside the garmo AG website. We try to link only to sites that share our values. You should always check the privacy policy of the site to which a link refers to be aware of their information collection practices, such as their use of cookies. We are not responsible for the content or information collection policies of other companies' sites. If you visit another site, you should review their privacy and other policies.
